David,
I see what you are trying to say now. Please note that Dave had mentioned earlier that we had to work with a different type of file from United this month, and it is now a lot harder for us to filter all flights like we used to. However all flights in the schedule are correct depending on which day of December you are looking at.
I will try to explain the details with the first flight on your list which is flight UA353.
In the UVA December schedule it shows the following flights as UA353
353 TUL - DEN 06:50:00 AM 07:35:00 AM 733
353 DEN - LAX 08:42:00 AM 10:13:00 AM 733
This segment from TUL - LAX is valid real life United flight until December 14th. Further detail shows that the first segment from TUL to DEN is available everyday of the week until December 14th, however the second leg from DEN - LAX is available everyday of the week EXCEPT 11/25, 12/4, and 12/11.
353 ORD - DEN 06:00:00 AM 07:32:00 AM 763
353 DEN - SFO 08:32:00 AM 10:18:00 AM 763
This segment from ORD to SFO is valid real life United flight effective from December 15 all the way to January 8th. It is available everyday of the week and the equipment is changed from the B733 to the B763.
We believe the real world United is making adjustments to the route and capacity with larger equipment in order to cope with the holiday travelling passengers.
In short, the flight number UA353 is not in error, it simply represents different dates where different arrangements are being made in the real world. Please feel free to compare what I've said here with the real world United schedule if you don't believe me.
I also believe that the rest of the flights you've pointed out falls in the same category.
Since we don't have the manpower to give you an update on a daily basis, we had included all flights in December for your enjoyment. For maximum realism, you can always compare and pick the UVA flight that is comparable to the real world United. For example, you would only pick UA353 from TUL - LAX until December 14th and then you will only pick UA353 from ORD to SFO starting from December 15th.
Well, I tried my best to explain what we did this month. Again we are working with a new file format from United and trying to adapt it into our existing system. And believe me Dave, Jim, and myself had spent a lot more time than we'd liked. Please feel free to let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Best Regards,
